Our annual membership is open to all men and women. There are three categories of membership:
Players $25.00
Directors $50.00
Angels $100.00

Membership renewals are sent out every year in the fall. Additional donations are welcome.

Curtain Raisers of The Claremont Colleges is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax deductible to the extend allowed by law. Our tax identification number is 95-3580016.

Event Calendar
Join us for a year of entertaining events! Past events have included plays with either a lunch or reception or programs that include interesting speakers and presentations. Your membership will include invitations to all our events. It's a great way to support theater in our local community and meet people like you who love theater!

Last year's events were full of friends and fun and theater! Here are some highlights.

Events for 2024-2025
September 22 - Kickoff Event and Membership Drive for our new season. Enjoy nibbles and wine as well as our speaker, Krista Carson Elhai, who will talk about local and national theater organizations. See invitation in this mailing.
October 25 - Scholarship Luncheon and Speaker at Frank Dining Hall, Pomona College. We’ll enjoy luncheon and hearing from our Curtain Raisers scholarship recipients. Carolyn Ratteray, Chair of the Pomona College Theater Department, will also share recent changes in teaching theater.
November 15 - “The Play that Goes Wrong.” In the Seaver Theatre, Pomona College’s Theater Department presents this hilarious Broadway hit. We will have a dinner
preceding this event.
February 15 - “Next to Normal.” Lunch and speaker before the play presented by Claremont High School’s award-winning theater department.
March 7 - “The Moors,” a play about two sisters on the English Moors, in the
Allen Theatre at Pomona College. We will meet for a no-host dinner and attend the
play together.
April 6 - “The School for Lies,” in the Citrus College Little Theatre, is a play about a young widow based on Molier’s The Misanthrope. We will enjoy lunch before the show.
May – Annual Meeting. Date and program to be determined.
